This copper was removed from an old roof renovation of The Glebe, Annamoe, Co Wicklow, Ireland by my partner @slate_specialists_ireland_ltd_

Legendary film director John Boorman’s Wicklow home, where Sean Connery and Lee Marvin came for dinner.

Copper will start to react with the oxygen in the air to form copper oxide. The copper oxide will continue reacting to oxygen over time. As the copper oxide continues to react with carbon dioxide and water in the air it coats the surface with that iconic blue-green patina colour.

I hand cut, file and sand down this copper to reveal the patterns which are mysterious and hypnotyzing.

A combination of copper, browns, greens and blue colors create fasinating pictures.
